SCRAP THE UNFAIR COUNCIL TAX

The Liberal Democrats remain committed to scrapping the unfair Council Tax and replacing it with a local Income Tax based on the ability to pay.

So why don't you scrap it then?

The Liberal Democrats are the largest party on Sefton Council, but even if we had overall control we would not be able to replace the Council Tax. It is the Government at Westminster that decides how local councils can raise funds.
